VIRTUAL GROUP THERAPY
Healing through Community
There are two kinds of people in the world. The first kind hears “group” and thinks, “Wow, great! Connecting with new people! I’m in!” The second kind of person hears the word “group” and seriously considers hiding under the bed. If you’re the first kind of person, welcome! Feel free to skip this next bit. If you’re the second kind of person, here are some reasons to give our virtual groups a chance.
Human beings are social animals, and we need connection to heal and thrive. Although individual sessions are amazing in their own way, groups have something special to offer: the ability to connect with others who struggle with the same things we do. The beauty of a group is that everyone is invested in creating a supportive, non-judgmental, emotionally safe space where every member gets the benefit of every other member’s experience.
Sometimes, the best way to heal is to help. Being a part of a group stirs our innately human instinct to support and empower one another. In addition to being the recipient of the group’s wisdom, you will also sometimes be a provider of that wisdom. It’s a pretty awesome way to realize your strength and feel good about your own journey.
It’s affordable! Whether using your insurance coverage or paying out of pocket, group fees are significantly less than individual sessions.

Meet the Facilitator
All groups are facilitated by Monique Dauphin, LMHC. Monique has over a decade of experience facilitating therapy groups, and she believes deeply in the capacity of groups to heal and transform. Monique runs informal, supportive, and non-judgmental groups that are "introvert-friendly," meaning that you will never be forced to talk if you don't want to! Active listening is just as participatory as speaking. To learn more about Monique's clinical background and training, check out her bio on our homepage.
Please note that due to New York State mental health regulations we are only permitted to provide virtual group therapy to people who are physically located in New York State.
